Understanding
The Myopia Crisis

25% of children globally are affected by myopia, and this number is expected to rise to 50% by 2050. It significantly impacts children’s vision and daily activities like reading, learning, and playing.

Without timely intervention, progressive myopia can lead to severe complications, such as retinal detachment, a higher risk of glaucoma, and even permanent vision loss.

Early detection and treatment are essential to protect children’s long-term eye health.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our V-HAB vision therapy device

What is myopia and why is it a concern?

Myopia, or nearsightedness, is a vision condition where distant objects appear blurry. It affects 25% of children globally and is expected to rise to 50% by 2050. Without treatment, it can lead to severe complications like retinal detachment and glaucoma.

How does the V-HAB red light therapy work?

Our low-level red light therapy (LLRLT) emits specific wavelengths around 660nm that target the retina. This stimulates cellular processes to control hypoxia and inflammation, significantly slowing myopia progression without any side effects.

Is the treatment safe for children?

Yes, our therapy is completely safe and non-invasive. It's designed specifically for children and requires just 5 minutes, twice a day, 5 days a week. The device is portable and easy to use at home.

Who developed this technology?

Our solution was developed by AIIMS Delhi alumni, including Suraj M Serawat (M.Optom, B.Optom AIIMS Delhi) and Shivika Dhingra (MBA SIBM Bangalore, B.Optom AIIMS Delhi), with extensive research backing.
